Reserve your room at the Nottawasaga Inn by May 27, 2022 to ensure availability and the discounted conference rate! Early bird registration deadline: May 27, 2022. Abstract deadline: July 3, 2022. Conference dates: July 27-29, 2022. 06/07/2022 UPDATE: Abstract Deadline Extended The abstract deadline has been extended to July 3, 2022. This includes all award applications. 02/15/2022 UPDATE: New OEP Dates We are pleased to announce that OEP 2022 will now be held from Wednesday July 27 to Friday July 29 at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort. With the new dates, we are excited to bring new elements to the OEP formula by hosting a summer conference during the week, bringing options for additional outdoor networking opportunities including outdoor firepits, hiking trails, and golf course amenities. We are busy re-tooling the conference schedule and will have more information closer to the event. For current registrants, we are happy to hold you previous payments as early-bird registration for the July event. If you require a refund, please contact Jason Au at jason.au@uwaterloo.ca and we will be happy to process your request. The deadline for refunds for previous registrations is March 15, 2022. While we confirm the final conference details, these are important deadlines to consider leading up to the conference:
01/03/2022 UPDATE: OEP 2022 POSTPONED We have made the difficult decision to postpone OEP 2022 until a later date. While we still have details to work out, we hope this decision will alleviate unnecessary stress on planning in-person activities over the next month.
12/17/2021 UPDATE We have extended early-bird pricing until January 10th, 2022. 12/16/2021 UPDATE ON COVID-19 OMICRON VARIANT We are currently in discussion with the venue to determine options and contingencies for how the event will handle the recent emergence of the COVID-19 Omicron variant. Any decisions about the conference will be emailed to registrants, and posted here when available. Logistically for attendees:
The Ontario Exercise Physiology conference is a student-focused meeting held annually. The conference attracts faculty and students from across Ontario and beyond, providing an opportunity for trainees to present their research, network with students and faculty, and learn about the exciting research being conducted across Ontario. Effective September 22, 2021, the province of Ontario has mandated specific public health for conference venues. Nottawasaga Inn Resort requires all participating delegates must provide proof of full vaccination OR official medical vaccination exemption. When on the premises, face masks must be worn when social distancing cannot be maintained. |
